Atlanta United, ranked number 8 in the Eastern conference took on the number two ranked team in the Western conference, Houston Dynamo, and to just say they won would be an understatement.  They dominated.  Star player of the game, Miguel Almiron, scored a hat trick and helped his team to eventually crushing Houston Dynamo 4-1.

Almiron kicked things off in minute 29 when he slammed the ball into the roof of the net.  Then, in minute 42 he received the ball on a cross, managed to get past a Dynamo defender, and then, as he was falling, whipped the ball into the corner of the net.  To change things up a bit, Julian Gressel made the next goal for Atlanta in minute 76, giving Atlanta a 3-0 lead over Houston.  However, just four minutes later that lead grew when Almiron completed his hat trick by getting a goal on a penalty kick.

Things were looking pretty bleak for Houston, but thanks to Erick Torres they managed to evade being shut out.   In minute 90 he scored on a penalty kick, making the final score of the game 4-1.

Next, Atlanta United will take on New York City FC on Sunday, May 28th at 2:00, while Houston will face FC Dallas Sunday at 5:00.
