SANTA MONICA – After a stellar comeback for the USMNT in the World Cup Qualifiers, the US men will continue the fifth round of the World Cup Qualifiers on Friday.  At 3:30 Pacific Time the USA will take on Costa Rica at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison , New Jersey.

The USMNT are in good shape to win this match.  They have been playing well, recently defeating Costa Rica in the Gold Cup semifinals, and going on to win the whole tournament.  Additionally, they have defeated Costa Rica in every Hexagonal game in the United States since 1998. However, they still need to work hard and play really well.  Costa Rica is ranked 25th in the world, and they have been known to give the USA some grief.  The semi final match against Costa Rica was played tight.  The USMNT fought hard, yet the match was tied 0-0 until the 72nd minute.  They did, however manage come out with a 2-0 victory.

The roster for Friday’s combines many, highly experienced veteran players like Demarcus Beasley, Clint Dempsey, and Jozy Altidore, with a few new stars like Christian Pulisic.

Hopefully, the combination of experience with new, raw talent will help the USMNT take home all three points.

The game will air on ESPN, and Univision.  Then, just a few days later, the USMNT will take on Honduras on Tuesday at 2:30 Pacific Time.

Hopefully the USMNT can take home all three points in their match against Costa Rica on Friday.
