SANTA MONICA – The LA Galaxy extend their unbeaten streak to 9 games with a 3-1 win over Colorado on Wednesday night.

Just 4 and a half minutes into the game Jack McBean got the scoring started, powering the ball into the net and giving the LA Galaxy an early lead.  Although this was McBean’s first goal of the season, it wasn’t even his last of the game.

After his goal, Colorado fought hard to find an equalizer.  Then, in minute 37,  Dillon Serna received the ball on a cross and slammed it into the far corner of the net, tying the match up, 1-1.  Unfortunately for Colorado, that was the last goal they scored.  The Galaxy, however, was just getting warmed up.

In minute 63, Jack McBean was back at it again.  After receiving a beautiful cross from João Pedro in front of the goal, McBean slid the ball into the corner of the net and gave the Galaxy a 2-1 lead over Colorado.

Then, in the 71st minute of the game, the Galaxy made their lead even more decisive. Alessandrini tapped the ball into the net with ease on a penalty kick, scoring the last goal of the game and putting the final score at 3-1.

Next, the LA Galaxy, who have worked their way up to 5th place in the Western Conference, will take the number one team in the Western Conference, Sporting KC, on Saturday at 7:30. Colorado will face Atlanta United on Saturday at 4:00.

After not scoring all season, Jack McBean scored two goals for the Galaxy on Wednesday.
