SANTA MONICA – Alex Morgan, soccer star on the USWNT and NWSL Orlando Pride is used to making headlines for her latest triumph in a match. However, On Sunday, Morgan was in the news for an entirely different reason. After heading to Disney World with a few other professional soccer plays, Morgan, alongside MLS players Giles Barnes Donny Toia, were escorted out of a bar in Epcot after reportedly being drunk and causing a scene.
According to Page Six, who talked to the Orange County Sheriffs office, Morgan was “trespassed from Disney on Oct. 1st” after reportedly drinking for eight hours.
They go on to describe that the incident report details that Morgan, Barnes, and Toia were rowdy and started arguing with others in the bar. Once officials escorted Morgan out of the bar she was reportedly “yelling, screaming … she appeared to be highly impaired … [she made] a loud verbal statement that she knows the Orlando swat team.”
Morgan has since apologized for the incident with a message on Twitter
I want to apologize for my actions that occurred over the weekend. I will learn from this make sure it does not happen again. #liveandlearn
