After a three home game stand, the LA Galaxy is gearing up to play the next four games away.  First up, they will take on the New York Red Bulls this Sunday.

The LA Galaxy have been struggling this season to find their footing, however, fans saw some promise during the second half of their last game.  The Galaxy rallied from being down to Chicago Fire 2-0 at the half.  Coach Curt Onalfo made a few substitutions, including subbing captain Jelle Van Damme, and the Galaxy came back after the half with intensity.  They managed to score two goals and tie up the game.

Despite their comeback showing promise, the Galaxy have an uphill battle ahead for several reasons.  One of those being, that unfortunately, one substitution made last week was not by choice, but rather due to an injury.  The club has since announced that Jermaine Jones will be out for 3-4 weeks due to a grade 2 MCL sprain in his right knee.

The Galaxy will have a tough time without one of their star players for the the duration of their away game stretch.  Additionally, traveling across the country without the comfort of home stadium advantage for almost a month will prove trying on the Galaxy.

Next Sunday’s game will start at 3:00 and will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1.
