Columbus Crew SC beat Toronto FC 2-1 in last night’s game.

Midfielder Justin Meram scored the winning goal. He now has a record of making a goal or an assist in every home match of the season through four home contests. Since the last six total home matches dating back to October 1, 2016, Meram has scored five goals and two assists.

Captain Wil Trapp became the first Crew SC Homegrown Player to make 100 regular-season appearances in last night’s game. He is one out of only 27 players to have made 100 or more regular-season appearances for the club.

Rookies Niko Hansen and Alex Crognale both made their first regular-season assists for Crew SC. It was Hansen’s first start for the club and he assisted Ola Kamara’s opening goal. Meanwhile, Crognale set up Justin Meram’s winning goal.

For forward Ola Kamara, it was his fourth goal of the season but 20th goal overall for Crew SC.

Last night’s game was the third time that Crew SC has won against an undefeated team this season, as Toronto FC had a record of 1-0-4 before the game. Crew SC has an undisturbed winning streak this season with a record of 3-0-1, a streak they haven’t experienced since 2015.

The team has now scored in every home match this season. They have also scored in each of its last 15 home games.

Crew SC next plays on Saturday, April 22 at the Red Bull Arena against the New York Red Bulls (7:30 p.m. ET / The CW Columbus, Spectrum Sports, BCSN2, CD102.5 FM, La Mega 103.1 FM, English radio stream on ColumbusCrewSC.com).
