FC Dallas continues the long trend of MLS teams losing in Mexico in the CONCACAF Champions League.  After going into Tuesday nights game with a 2-1 win over Pachuca in the first leg of the semifinals, FC Dallas was defeated 3-1 by Pachuca and knocked out of the tournament.

The game was a heartbreaker filled with a surplus of mess ups and missed opportunities for FC Dallas.  FC Dallas put up a fight, but couldn’t follow through.

Pachuca led for the entirety of the game, scoring in the 38th and the 80th minute.  However, FC Dallas received a renewed sense of faith when Christian Colman scored in the 86th minute of the game.  That hope was soon destroyed. Pachuca scored, once again, in the 92nd minute of the game effectively winning the match 3-1, and knocking FC Dallas out of the CONCACAF Championship.

Pachuca will begin preparation for April 19th when they will play the winner of the other semifinal match in the CONCACAF Champions League championship game.  FC Dallas, however, will have to regroup from this devastating loss and focus their efforts on dominating the MLS.
