CONCACAF named Hope Solo best Goalkeeper of 2015

Written by Staff Writer

SANTA MONICA — Hope Solo has been a inspiration for footballers since she debut as the Goalkeeper for the USWNT in 2005.  Recently, CONCACAF named the Washington state native as the female Goalkeeper of the year.

The CONCACAF award was designed to honor the achievements in Confederation sanctioned match play.  The winners were ultimately chosen by the 41 Member Associations and the CONCACAF Technical Study Group which analyzes tactics and rates performances.

Solo will continue to play on the USWNT and for Seattle Reign FC during the regular NWSL season.
