SANTA MONICA – This NWSL season is nearing its end and only four teams remain, fighting for a spot in the championship. North Carolina Courage goes into the NWSL semifinals as the number one seed with 49 points, the Portland Thorns are the number two seed with 47 points, Orlando Pride is the third seed with 40 points, and the Chicago Red Stars took the fourth and final spot with 39 points.

Next weekend, the action will begin when the Portland Thorns take on Orland pride on Saturday. Then, North Carolina Courage will face off against the Chicago Red Stars on Sunday. The winners of those two matches will play each on Saturday, the 14th, for the championship match, but who will win it all?

North Carolina is the number one place team going into the semi finals so they are favored, however, they will have to fight hard if they want to win it all. In their last game on September 30th, third place Orlando Pride beat them 3-2. Orlando Pride, who started off the season a little roughly, has not lost a match in 9 games and is looking pretty strong going into their semi final match against Portland.
