LOS ANGELES- FC Dallas is a powerhouse in American soccer.  They have won or tied every MLS game they have played this season, and up until the bitter end of last nights game, it looked like they were going to add another win to their impressive record.  However, The Earthquakes had different plans.

In a goal scored in the 94th minute, Jahmir Hyka tied up the game, 1-1.  This is beginning to look like somewhat of a pattern: is tying up the game in stoppage time San Jose’s new move?  After all, this is the second game in a row where they have scored in extra time to tie it up. Last week, it was Chris Wondolowski who scored in stoppage time against Seattle.

The game started off to a slow start.  It wasn’t until the 78th minute when Kellyn Acosta scored, that FC Dallas took the lead.  That all changed with the stoppage time goal, and each team walked away with a tie.

Only a week and a half out of their heartbreaking loss in the CONCACAF semifinals, it seems FC Dallas might not be fully recovered.  Their plans were to dominate the MLS after that.  Although they still do remain undefeated, and in the long run this tie shouldn’t affect them too much, letting a last minute goal in is never a good thing.

Next, FC Dallas will play Sporting KC, the only other team who has managed to tie them, on April 22nd at 5:00.  San Jose will take on New England on April 19th at 4:30.

Both teams fought until the end, with the result being a 1-1 tie.
